The JOFA Helmet

After searching all over the internet, I found that there is not a single website or blog dedicated to discussing JOFA helmets. So I decided to create one. There must be a resource that explains these iconic pieces of hockey equipment. Many of the most beloved and greatest hockey players of all time have worn these helmets, these Halos of Hockey, distinguishing them clearly from the rest of the players on the ice.

Aside from ModSquadHockey and Wikipedia, their is little information to be found regarding JOFA helmets. I do not speak Swedish or Finnish (or any other language other than English for that matter), so maybe there are some resources that have slipped through my fingers, but how would I know anyway?

Love them or hate them, JOFA helmets have saved the skulls of the greatest players to ever play the game. I hope this blog will help inform hockey aficionados out there and provide a resource that readers can share knowledge and memories of these hockey relics. Enjoy!
